11 Honore gave NYFW a much need jumpstart with it's Fall 2019 runway show.  The online retailer which focuses on luxury brands, offered something fashion week desperately needed; a runway show using only plus size models without being gimmicky or featuring brands from the mall.  With exquisite gowns from Prabal Gurung, Jason Wu and more strutting down the runway, all of the looks looked right at home at the tents.

The good: Watching the curve models we love rip the runway in designer duds was a major win in and of itself.  We also love how the 11 Honore teamed up with Shopbop to curate full looks including accessories. (Click through for shopping links).

The bad: Okay don't crucify us but the cohesiveness, or lack there of, left a lot to be desired.  There was no unifying theme or clear story told; just beautiful gown after beautiful gown.  We also noticed the glaring difference that still exists between plus and straight sized clothes; there were 35 looks but arguably no show stoppers or anything we haven't seen before. 


The random?:  The gorgeous and vivacious Laverne Cox completely shut it down closing the show in a fuchsia Zac Posen gown.  While her diva strut was right at home on the runway we're left wondering what the correlation was since the actress isn't visibly plus sized.  We're guessing Ashley Graham was booked?
